Clean Energy Tax Credits Set to Expire Under New Legislation

As part of the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R.1), several clean energy tax credits are scheduled to expire at the end of December 2025. These changes are expected to impact both individual taxpayers and businesses who have relied on incentives to support solar installations, EV purchases, and other sustainability initiatives.

In a recent interview with ABC 10News San Diego, GPW Partner Brad Gastineau shared insights into how these changes may affect taxpayers and what planning steps should be taken now.

“The biggest thing we’re encouraging clients to do is to take advantage of the credits while they’re still available. After December 31, many of these benefits will be gone or significantly reduced,” Gastineau noted.
