Our San Diego Community

At GPW we believe it is our responsibility to give back to the finest community that has contributed so much to our success. We are committed to giving our time and resources to firm-sponsored community services events, offering hundreds of service hours each and every year.
In addition, the partners and employees of GPW are deeply involved in the community we share with you. Members of our firm donate their time and talents to a wide range of causes – from organizations dedicated to health and safety to charitable sporting events and community associations.
Many members of our team serve as board members for community groups and organizations. Contributing to the success and well-being of the San Diego community is a central theme of our firm’s culture.
Below is a list of organizations in which members of our firm are on the board of:

  • Construction Financial Management Association
    • Adam Perry serves on the board.
    • The Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) supports construction financial professionals and their service providers through education, networking, and information.
  • Highland Ranch Educational Foundation
    • Megan Chatman serves as the treasurer.
    • The Highland Ranch Foundation is a dedicated organization that supports enriching programs beyond state standards, helping students develop real-life skills. Through initiatives in science, technology, and physical education, the Foundation prepares students for the demands of the 21st century.
  • MiraCosta College Foundation
    • Cindy Musser has been a part of the Board of Directors since November 2022.
    • MiraCosta College Foundation aims to provide educational opportunities for all by partnering with the community to secure resources. With nearly 50% of students needing financial support, the Foundation helped over 1,300 students last year through donor contributions.
  • Mt. Carmel Education Foundation
    • Tom McFadden serves as the treasurer.
    • The Mt. Carmel Education Foundation enriches students’ learning experiences by fostering community support and involvement. MCEF connects Mt. Carmel High School students with internships and partnerships, organizes fundraising for educational projects, and expands post-secondary opportunities.
  • Promises2Kids
    • Andrew Bolinger serves as the treasurer.
    • Promises2Kids supports over 3,000 current and former foster youth annually. The organization provides tools, opportunities, and guidance to help these children overcome their past and grow into successful adults through its four core programs: Polinsky Children’s Center, Camp Connect, Guardian Scholars, and Foster Funds.
  • San Diego Harbor Police Foundation, Inc.
    • Brad Gastineau serves as the treasurer.
    • This Foundation funds and educates on Community Outreach, Officer Wellness, and Human Trafficking Awareness & Training, aiming to support officers, assist families, and combat human trafficking.
  • STAR/PAL Community/Charitable Organization
    • Brent Gastineau serves as the treasurer.
    • STAR/PAL is a San Diego nonprofit that fosters relationships between youth and law enforcement in historically underserved communities. Through leadership and mentoring programs, it promotes ethical policing, mentorship, and community collaboration. STAR/PAL is nationally recognized for its model of ethical community policing and support for under-resourced youth.
  • The Salvation Army – California South Division, San Diego County Region
    • Jarod Howard is a member of the Finance Committee.
    • The Salvation Army is committed to “Doing the Most Good” by addressing human needs without discrimination. Through the efforts of officers, staff, volunteers, and partners, the organization combats homelessness and hunger, provides safe spaces for kids, supports sobriety, and offers hope to vulnerable individuals.
